My New Tattoos!!!
I should become a tatoo artist!! Well, looks like a tatoo is way out of the price range for me. In 2 years I might need a good boot and I'll be lucky to save up for that, unless I can get a real job, lol. Maybe in 2 years the scar wont be so prominent.

OK, Everyone. Sorry to keep you all in Suspense. But I WAS up ALL night getting Tattooed until 530am yesterday morning. Then Dawnie, Ryder & I had a Sin City Derby Scrimmage we were duty-bound to attend last night. I just got some pics taken & uploaded. So, without further delay:

You all remember the rough Sketch, right?

Artist's Sketch of my Tattoo...well 1 of 2.

OK....well here's my right arm:

Jay's Right Arm

My Left:

Jay's Left Arm

And in case you think it's the same arm...lol:

Me, Ryder & Derby Girls in BG on track.

Both Arms 2 days after...notice the shirt.

Both Arms 1 1/2 days after.

So. That's it, Kids. I guess I'm a Quad Skater For Life now!
I MUST know what you all think. So let 'em Rip.
Also, Welcome Back Ludi! Missed ya, Mate!

Keep Rollin' on 8!
PEACE..........................Jay

Well to tell the truth son I already knew you were a quad sk8er for life but now the rest of the world will know too. I think the tats look awesome......and Ryder is even cuter than is legally allowed for babies in public. Roll On Jay TV.

WOW that is amazing!! I'm very jealous. I just want a tat on my right arm since its already filled with a huge scar. Just my arm is max 2" wide on the meaty part, so probably 1/3 to 1/4th yours. Think somehow they could do a small rollerskate on my twiggy arm? I would love one myself lol. Just I would want yellow or bright green wheels like I have and orange or yellow bushings.

Hey Claudine.
WOW. That's alot let me attempt to field all your questions.

1: YES, a Good Artist (the only kind you should consider!) CAN tattoo over scar tissue. However, they'll want you to wait til scar tissue is fully healed. Couple ofd years is usual answer. I HAVE scars. I have one going right through middle of my left sk8/arm. Check out this pic from last Anthem session on Fri afternoon, note the line in my left forearm where I don't have any hair visible.

Last Pre-Tat Pic just Post-Session @ Anthem

Now, I know you think yours is worse/more visible but it's also MUCH newer! My scar is 10+ years old. And now it's like it was never there:

Jay's Left Arm

Scar is/was through bottom of boot but you can't tell. Can you?
Just wait awhile til it's good & healed.
As to price....well that depends entirely on the Artist. It's almost always hourly. So how fast they are (& how still you can sit for uninterrupted periods they "Cheaper" it'll be. In my case it was $100/Hour for 9 hours. But I wasn't charged for the initial consultation 2 weeks earlier when we talked about what I wanted & he took pics of my sk8s. Or his time drawing up the original designs. So I think I got a Killer deal. I mean, they're gonna be there FOREVER, right?! And I wanted them to look like I wanted them to look AND look Good.
So, does that answer your questions?? Hope so.
PEACE................. Jay

When I saw the original sketch, I thought you would be getting a much smaller tat on your biceps. I was flabbergasted when I saw that you had your entire fore arms covered!! WOW!

My first thought was that you must have been in some pain when all was said and done. How long did it take your arms to get back to feeling normal? Will you have to hide them at work?

I have wanted a tattoo forever, but I can never decide what I want to get. Plus, I have always thought on a much smaller scale than you. I also wouldn't want to spend more than $200. I guess I'm just a cheap"skate". I will say though, that you have inspired me. I'm seriously going over ideas in my head for what I'd like for a tattoo now.

Thanks for the mass mailing. I enjoyed getting your tattoo pics in my mail box.

  Hey Biff,
Thanks. Ummm....arms are STILL a little sore. But I WAS getting a Tattooed until 6am Sat morning.
No, I don't have to hidde them @ work. I'm fortunate to have a job where appearances don't matter.
And these took about 9 hours total time.
Oh, the Emblem is his rendition of my "logo" that's been on all my RC SK8Park Stuff since I started that. It's me. Handplant in a circle to signify a peace symbol.
PEACE.......................Jay
