They have arrived last week and I got them from the parcel service on Friday. They wouldn't leave the parcel with a neighbor because they needed me to design some customs form. Therefore I had to drive 20 km to Eschbach on my motorcycle. Oh well, what you wouldn't do for a novell skate contruction.
And a novelty those vskates are indeed. We have to get harder wheels on them, however. With the standard wheels, they are a bit slow on the ramp. Did you also have a first look on them?

I have been to Kirchzarten with Sven who has giiven them some testing on the mini ramp there. He's been doing some lip tricks there but to me the steering action was too soft for my style of ramp riding. I will have to try to adjust this some time. However, I tried them out a bit in the confines of this very small skate park. Their turning ability seems to be quite OK to me.

One caveat, however: you can't just use any shoes. The first time I tried them, I had a pair of shoes which had their soles stick out from under them. In this way riding becomes quite instable because the front axle gets behind the pad of your foot. But with some basketball shoes they were quite comfortable.

Brian wrote: Yes I have received my skates. I took them out for a spin on the street that night after putting in the softest cushions. They were fun, I was pleased with the turning ability. Mine have the aluminum cored wheel which is green, and they are softer than what I ride normally but felt good on the street. I rode them at the park (www.project58.com) several days later, in the bowl and the one vert wall. The turning was definately different than my skates but was managable, I missed grinding on trucks but could slide on anything. They suffered some damage.
