ToeStops or NO ToeStops??
Thank's Jay, I have linkified your links and added them to the resources page.

This rollerskates.org site seems to be a front page to a store to me. Do you know more about them?

I\'ve started a new \"Convo\" on RollerSkate World that I\'m sure everyone here has an opinion about. I\'d LOVE to hear everybody\'s thoughts & witty repartee on the subject here:

http://www.gravity.com/rollerskate/9360/toestopsor-no-toestops-that-is-the-question-or-is-it-toeplugs-for-you

Sorry about the need for cut-n-paste but I\'m a techno-feeb unlike the Illustrious Mr. B. & the Web-Savvy Mr.Biff Riley. So.....
Can\'t wait to hear your opinions.

Oh yeah, also some VERY cool Vert content here:

http://www.rollerskates.org/

Thanks, Irene for the heads-up! click \"vert\" on that page & watch the Spaniards Kill some Vert! :) Some other interesting NON-Vert related quad stuff here.
PEACE,
Jay

Thanks for that, Bernard.

Yes, looks like a store....I only clicked on the Vert segment as advised by Irene. I don't anything about them (rollerskates.org) at all, really. Irene posted something on FB & I checked it out, then reposted here so everyone could see. You know me, Bernard, anything I see that promotes rollerskating is a Good thing to me. Even if it IS just a slick Sales intro.
On a personal note: I just LOVE those one kneepad grinds the Spaniards all seem to be doing. I spent a session last year trying to do just one kneepad stalls & couldn't do 'em, so my hats off to those guys. :)

Hey!! Me too! I have been loving those one knee slides they do, and I am intent on learning them soon.

I get what you mean. Nevertheless, it's all the more annoying that they took one of my photos without asking for permission. Makes me wonder if they did the same with the rest of the material.

  Hey Mr. B
Sorry, about them stealing your content photo, Brother. I had no idea. That is NOT cool.
There was some Asshole who did the same thing with video footage of Duke & Desi that Lee Ettinger shot. This A-Hole then re-edited film, put in his own music, captions etc & called it his own. Turned out he couldn't even sk8 aggressively, he was a jam skater.
Anyway, I won't buy anything from those jerks if they stole from you.
I want some of Brian's sliders for my next set-up anyway! LOL!
PEACE

I have observed this kind of behaviour since decades time and again. Back in school there was some guy who couldn't write any significant program of his own, but edited the copyright statement of someone else's program to make it look like it was his achievement. I'm not sure what motivated him to do this.

I think those aren't slides but complete integrated base systems.

Integrated base systems? You Germans ALL talk like Engineers. LOL! Just kidding. :)
Seriously? I thought they were sliders. I gotta look more closely at Brian's sk8s.
Thx. again Bernard!

We Germans ALL are Engineers. ;) Just look at Claudine's roller skate construction!

Yep, you gotta. At least I can't separate the sliding aspect from the mounting aspect. Seems to be on integrated whole to me.

shitty that this site used Bernhard's stuff w/o permission. i'm pretty sure the spaniards are aware of this site. i heard bombe was on a tv show and has some hometown celebrity... like the mayor of rollerskating in madrid... lol
skates on the site are okay and need some modifying (my opinion) but glad to see something offered to the public right off the shelf. it's a start...

Yep, all the links seem to take you to 'skates.com'. After clicking on 'vert', where the vid pops up on the left, a link appears on the right that says 'vert store', which leads one to THIS.

Not that I do not mind expanding the sport, and providing opportunities for skate mfgr.'s to sell vert skates, but they really should get permission before using your picture.
