oh i love your new skates! i wish we had those boots in the US. i'm really not liking reidel on the fit for vert/street skating. but i dont want a hockey type of boot either. a little more padding and a touch on the ankle seems perfect to me. i also have weird fitting feet. are those kryptonics? those are nice wheels. they look great! i hope your hand heals very quickly.

Well, ten days ago I did a flat landing on the street with my road skates and broke my right hand. I guess my stoppers where too worn. Now I've got new wheels and new stoppers on my road skates.

Those are hockey boots from the Italian brand Meneghini. I got the idea from Gambin but it was rather difficult to actually get them. I had to order them from Düsseldorf and at first they didn't want to send them, because I couldn't try them on. But the finally did, when I sent them a tracing of my feet.

Jepp, Kryptonics Route 65. I can't wait to try them out.

: i hope your hand heals very quickly.

Maybe I have to wait a bit because of this nuisance.

yes thats a great idea! i think before i ever purchase a new boot i will ask for a tracing of the insole to make sure its the shape of my foot or vise versa. i forgot what size mine were but they might have been 70mm? they are nice wheels!

let us know how they ride!

 Hey Joe,

you are so right! But the curvy thing is still in disrepair and I didn't want to waint for the new wheels and stoppers. At least my road skate now almost look as new.

70 mm is pretty big. I didn't dare go that bib with my base plates. I'm sure they will provide a very smooth ride. Can't wait to test it out!

Since September 21, my cast is off again. There ist still some pain in the hand and some limitations to movement, but it's pretty good already. At least i can play the guitar, which is very important to me.

 Hey Joe,

I play classical guitar. Mostly Italian composers, but also some german and spanisch stuff.

Are you doing any rehabilitative exercises?
You know... strengthening that hand so that you do not hurt it again from skating. I am a big believer in making sure one is completely healed and ready to skate again, so as to not get hurt again too quickly!

I've got no prescription for rehabilitation excercises since the orthpedist thinks it woin't be needed. He will look at the hand again after one month and then decicide. Meanwhile, I'm doing my chores, play the guitar (very important!) and bend the hand to regain my mobility.
