There seems to be interest in forming another rollerskating gathering.
Two locations with choices of parks to pick from would be Los Angeles, California and/or Europe (open to suggestions on where, France, Spain, Germany, etc.)
I'm looking for feedback from all who are interested in organizing a gathering in 2006.
Submit your ideas NOW!

First of all, I think I will try to make it to any place in the world. The US is probably one of the more difficulte places due to severe travel limitations since 911. They almost didn't let me in in 2004! But I don't want to pass up the chance to shoot some crazy fellow roller skaters doinf some real ramp riding. And I will try very hard not to expose the same film twice!

If the location is in Germany, I can provide some organisational support. More so, if it would be in Freiburg.

Possible locations in Germany:

Forget about spain. Simple and direct. We actually don't have vertical public ramps and the private one's aren't really good.
Usa would be a dream for me. Anywhere in europe obviously would be easier for me. And when? my work will have to wait for me because i will get to the gathering, so it's the same.
( italy is incredible, isn't it? i haven't seen that pictures)
(Basel, Berlin and Mühlhausen seems to be nice whith bad weather...but in summer i think outdoor is better)

Count me in whever in the world it is. I didn't get to spend much time at the last one so I'm in need of more vert rollerskating with rollerskaters. haha! Of course since I live in LA - So. Cal would be nice but actually I'd rather go somewhere I haven't been to. Europe sounds like fun!

Super Dave Roen

The Rennie family would love to be a part of another Roller Gathering. Unfortunately, financial restraints keep us from being able to plan on leaving the country. We can, however, offer to plan a heck of a good time here in California. There are many awesome skateparks within an hour or two drive from our home in Redondo Beach. The weather is almost perfect for skating here any time.

 When?
I think august is a good month. It's more expensive but it's easier to have days off at work to go to the gathering (august the 12 & 13th?).

Where?
I personaly do prefer big ramps, such Berlin, Mezzano or Lyon.
If we organize the gathering in an outdoor skatepark we are taking a little risk. It would be very annoying to suffer a rainy weekend.

I think that if the meeting is going to take place in Europe, we could vote for the options available.

I would like to include the Skatepark de Lyon in the list. The ramp is quite good (despite de surface is not new) and they have experience and good facilities there.

Gaston would like to come over to Europe (especially Germany) but he can't come in July and August.

I can't ride those very big ramps but will try very hard to be there to take photos.

That's where Freiburg has an advantage. The ramp isn't really big (only 3.5 m high and 12 m wide) but you can go to Basel (60 km away) when it rains.

Sounds great. If there are no nore suggestions, we can compile a list for voting.

It's a big pity that you can't travel outside the US. Likewise, there seem to be some skaters who have difficulty in travelling to the US. Maybe we can have two events and those who can make the distance can participate in both? Or maybe we should change the continent every other year?

I would love to be there and take part.
