What is the nearest airport? How far from airport to ramp?
Would I need a car to get to the contest?

The nearest airport is Frankfurt. From Frankfurt you can get to Karlsruhe via Train (approx. 200 km). From the railway station you can walk or take the tram. It is about 20 Minutes to walk.

It is less than 20 minutes walk from the train station. Take a skateboard and you will be there in 5 minutes, just go out in the back (not main exit), go up to the street, turn left, turn right at the light, then straight on to the next crossing where the club fields are to your left. The ramp is where the woods begin if you turn left at the crossing and follow the walkway behind the small parking lot.

Chris Eggers: Karlsruhe Hotels (23. Apr. 2002 15:53)
 here are hotel links.

They are all not very far from the Green Ramp and most of them should be easy to find even if you have a few beers on Saturday evening!

I cannot guarantee for any quality because I usually do not sleep in hotels in my hometown, but they should all be fine I think and shoudl also be able to answer english questions.

Good luck!
chris

how much do you want to spend Irene?
I posted links in an above post, if you want to check them out for yourself, let me know if you need help!
I would be really happy if you would show up, but considering your long distance I have to let you know that it is not a very big event, it is a small party-like contest on an old but good ramp outdoors, so it is possible for a rainout even if we are in the region with the most sunshine hours in Germany. I really do not want to hold you back, it would be so cool to have you here, but I dont want you to be dissapointed. Please email me if you need help. Chris

Chris,
This would be for fun and I've never been to Germany. I'm trying to get a friend to join me and I guess anything less than $50 US per person/a night or around that price range would work. Any help is appreciated. What's your email address?
