Great!!! You have both the same plywood/aluminium plates and nearly the same teflon grinder: was it the same guy who made them?
Do you know Mr inside??? He posted a message on his downhill setup on rollerquad and he knows the team from Madrid

I think that the idea to use teflon to make grinders is from nelo but each one of us make themselves. I like that kind of grinder because you make them as you like, you can put one (like memba) or two , they don't weight too much and slides quite well.

Unfortunally it's Nelo but today Monday he should leave that ortopedical arm and start to recover his arm. At the time he don't have internet in his house but not for a long time.

I tried also teflon, but when the copping is hot (when you can't sit on it), I found them sticky: so now I make them with steel!!!!! super fast and nice noise, but yes more heavy....

Well, you are at least 2 from Madrid and you were several on the nice video: that's a good start for making a team!!!! ;-)
I was in Champigny yesterday, the vert is still up, waiting for you!!!!!

Nelo: Spanish quader? (20. Feb. 2007 12:44)
 Hey guys!!

My arm is free again!! I hope I'll be ridding verts again with my friends (what's up guys!!) in Lyon next eastern holidays.

The grinders are made of polietileno. The problem with Teflon is that it has a very low coefficient of friction that makes it (for me) very nervous in slides. I personaly prefer a slower plastic. I do long slides with polietileno and it allows you a good control.

Perhaps teflon could work for rusty copings or concrete curbs, but I don't know if a little wax (very little, please) could be better.

Thank you very much for your good feelings!!

Let's rip the verts!

Wow, that seems to be the heaven's ramp! What month do you think is the best to visit paris and skate that jewel? I'm thinking on visiting you this summer, maybe july.

The weather is quite unpredictable, for example, this winter is nearly 10° higher than the last one, with much more rain.... Nevertheless, summertime as june/july used to be quit dry and warm, so I cross my fingers for this year (last one was exceptionnal: april-may-june-july with a blue sky, no rain and no wind).
It would be very nice to enjoy this vert with the spain team!!!!
Last time I went to Champigny, I had to dry it from the night dew: 30min alone, but it was worth doing it, 30min later it was dry!!!! So even with some rain it can be ok.

Strange colours ;-), but beautiful. Your son has a sense for aesthetics.
