Tracker plates
: I wonder if Tracker could be coerced into producing skate plates again, or if someone with a machine shop wants to get into it.

I consider the chances as very low. There have also been at least three attempts here in Germany to market such a plate. I tried to obtain one advertised by a skateshop in the southwest of Germany for about a year. Must have been about 1987. I'm sure I talked (all in all) for hours with the shop owner but they obviously never could deliver the goods.

Scans from Alley Oop 4 from 1987 are online. Kudos to Thomas Kalak for this roller skate magazine and thanks to LeeY for digging this up.

I am guessing the demand would be too low. At one time I was thinking about finding a medal fabricator to make me a grind plate. I have rollergirl's grind plate on my new skates and I can't wait to try them. I am not as resourceful as you and paid to have a custom pair of skates made for me. I have wide trucks, skateboard wheels and an awesome grind bar. I still have not tried the skates because of my broken elbow. It's like having a brand new car and not being able to drive it.
