question my skates
I'd set them medium and adjust them up or down as suits, every one is different but if you can I'd try to get use to them looser than tighter.I got use to tight trucks from the start and cannot ride em loose wich tricky when carving a bowl,,from my experience.

: Got the bolts and bushings! Can I skate 95a skateboard wheels on a fairly smooth asphalt parking lot or is that not a good idea? I can put on my aerobics for now. I want to get used to my new skates since I've never had skateboard trucks. Tomorrow I will finish them up and ready for a spin! I'm BACK!!

I just dont want to ruin my nuts too soon by making too many changes.

I hear you sister,, I ruined my nuts on a handrail once,, never again..

cheers joe

Also, got 73a bushings Khiro, I'm trying to find out from Lisa what my black soft bushings were from suregrip I assume, I donno. Will this be too soft or is it a good idea to have the trucks loose? If too soft, I can put a harder cushion on the trucks by the plate? Or is it OK to have a couple threads left past the nut? I wanted the softest cause I was going to use jump bars at the time, thats why. But since these trucks are supposed to be unresponsive, will I want them looser?  Well as you probably already know, I don't know much about equipment. You will find with the wider trucks that you can't turn as sharp or quickly. I like to keep mine really loose, but sometimes it makes me pinch my trucks while riding. As far as street, I can barely turn. I don't think the harder wheels will hurt you at all because you will not turn sharp enough to slide.

Thanks, wasnt sure if those hard wheels would throw me on the street, but they are wide and big so I think they would roll over rocks OK. I dont want to change wheels constantly and strip my nuts.

I havent skated long enough to know enough about bushings or anything about how skateboard trucks ride in comparison. I ride with soft bushings now but not sure the number and these are extra soft. I thought I read you are only supposed to have 1 1/2 threads beyond the nut on the kingpin cause then you lose action? I donno. I have no idea what I will want on my trucks til I skate since I was told these might be tighter then my ramp trucks even. I guess I have to wait til Lisa gets back with me on my bushings cause I can put harder ones on the top. I just dont want to strip my nuts or crush good bushings finding this out.

Dang, I'm psyched about my skates! I'm gonna have a BLAST tomorrow. Its been almost a month since I've had on my vert skates. My knees feelin ok and I got a brace just in case. I got these centered really perfect this time so they should roll awesome and its gonna be the best day of my life skating these babies. I wonder if I can slide a curb lol?
