claudine: cutting aluminum? (5. Apr. 2008 01:13)
I have some 0.032" sheet metal. I'm cutting pieces to put under my bolts when I mount so they wont pull through. I have sizzors to cut aluminum. Any hints? Is this easy? If so, I am sure my plates have 0.05" aluminum, shoot, I could have cut my own plates!

Pretty easy to cut actually, but the edges are sharp. Sand/dremel/file? Hints or I will just figure it out lol.....

Yay, good to hear from ya!

This will keep the head flat. Washers would have it stand up over a mm. Its not as thick and its soft enough to sink in some to the heads shape. So I think this is better. I just need to smooth the edges.

That shop is so artsy. It looks so cool. Since I was a young kid I have loved surf and skate shops. I can just go in and stay for a long time. It sort of feels like home. lol

Indeed, the shop looks very nice. There is another report about it in the local press: http://fudder.de/artikel/2008/03/31/zwei-neue-laeden-im-sedan-quartier/

One day I'll have the best job ever lol.

I have no idea what silkscreening is ...

If you persist, that's for sure.

Silkscreening is printing by laying one color down at a time. Its a printmaking technique.

das ist sehr rad.
gday mr b, how are you? what a coincidence, im in the process of putting together a longboard. ive purchased some old gullwing sidewinder trucks, new bennet alligator wheels and our old mate karl[the skull has returned] is making me a 38 inch deck. i am hoping to have it up and going in a week or so.
on sunday we travelled to bendigo [2 hrs north] to sample their new bowl/park, what a pleasant surprise, well balanced. i took it easy [left shoulder still sore] lots of carving and grinding and some air. karl hurt his knee a bit. we will revisit this park soon.
cheers h.

In der Tat, in der Tat. We even have some serious downhill routes here. E.g. Schauinsland is a downhill route which is more than 10 km long and the altitude difference is nearly 1 km.

Wow. I have seen some of your creations at your place and imagine this one to be just as great.

I'm quite well (the body doesn't act up except for the remainders of a cold) but the weather here definitely isn't. It is really chilly and also quite wet. So no skating at all for me. :-(

But at least I can pester some other web master. Someone has notified me that about 10 of the spot checks from Sk8Mag.de popped up at another web site with all the copyright notices removed. They do not have even one spot check of their own. All are taken from Sk8Mag.de without permission. I just sent them a cease and desist note.

So you too need a street toy while the body's healing lol? ;-D I want to see!
Poor Bernhard. For me no real skating for 2+ more weeks. The swelling isnt going down a lot. The fibers are tight so I cant fall weird since that would rip them now. I hope to roll easy this weekend. Might need to kitchen skate tonight lol.

hi claudine, sorry to hear about your last stack, sounds like youve torn yourself a 2nd bum. i hope you mend quickly.
your right on the money about the longboard, we have a large drainage ditch right near us. after mossjam o8 in feb, i enjoyed watching the guys ripping the ditch. now all i need is bearings + deck bolts . im getting them tomorrow after rollersk8ting with rory. so hopefully i could be wobbling at the ditch on sunday. ill pester joe to show me how to present photos on mr b,s great forum , i promise.
my left shoulder is still sore but much better, keep your chin up and get well. once were 40 we no longer bounce on concrete. take it easy. cheers h.

Obviously even young feather weight chicks like Claudine don't bounce on concrete.
