Thanks Biff
: Seems like when I go up backwards, I need to keep legs further apart and bend lower, keep loose, that helped me.

Perfectly put! Since this discussion, I'm trying to watch where I'm going when doing fakie. I don't look behind myself enough, and am finding that it is also really helping me to do this! Thanks to whomever it was that mentioned 'looking behind you to see where you are going'. ;)

You are welcome for any help that I give, as I am very thankful for the help others give!

Nothing really to brag about but I got halfway up the half pipe doing fakie today, no falling. Yeah, not a whole lot further but I kept it going and felt good. So need to pump it up some more now. Seems like when I go up backwards, I need to keep legs further apart and bend lower, keep loose, that helped me. I tend to put my feet together I noticed and not squat enough on the backside thats what messes me up. I need to take muscle relaxers to really make decent progress on lip tricks lol. Doesnt help there were 5 kids who slammed HARD and in a bad way on the halfpipe like within 20 mins.

That was me, also not looking behind me enough, but watching others doing it better.

Yes, it's really amazing what can be learnt by discussuing technique online. I wouldn't have imagined this to be possible.

Sounds like it's getting better, right on. Better the kids than you... Stay loose, low and rollin'

I do get why you all say the small ramps are more dangerous. When the kids messed up on the lip, it was straight down on their hip. Thats why I wear the thick diapers lol. Skateboard kids like me so I hope I get some tricks down and can post a decent lip-trick video by end of summer.
