| I never used wrist guards. Back in the days, I used roller skating gloves, when they where still available. Those where padded leather gloves which also protected the finger tips. When I couldn't get those any more, I switched to leather gloves used for gardening (or similar). I always want to protect my finger tips since I need them for guitar playing.
