| : Any of you ever have problems with your kingpin bolts breaking on you? I had one snap the other night while I was on a fitness skate. Of course I had to be almost a mile from home when it happened and had to skate all the way back on one skate. What fun!
I never had a broken kingpin. However, I often heard from skateboarders breaking their kingpins. Once, I broke a pivot on my variflex plastic hangers on my street skater and had 4 km left till home. My knees were torn open and I had a bag with my heavy pipe equipment with me. After about 2 km I realised that I could switch the broken skate for a ramp skate. That wasn't optimal but better than the broken street skate.
