Need Help/Advice from Parallel Skaters...
Hey Jay Claudine is right on the money(good girl).Dont jump and turn onto your grind like you do on a plate stall but carve around and along the coping maybe your outside foot at first till you get comfy(see Roberts current vids)and then get your feet inline rather than parellel and grind up both. The better you get the more you can get on top of them until your standing up on a 50/50 or 100/100 and for fuck sake keep us posted on your progress.Grinds are some of the radest to do and to watch moves around in my humble opinion(and handplants)

cheers joe

: Hey buddy, may not be of much use for advice. For grinds, mean 50-50s? I am no good at them but only way I did them is to carve up and get the trucks over. I only could get one skate on the lip. Not much help I guess lol. Sometimes tricks take awhile. I think its time. I sure hope someone can come up with better input then I did. I want to get those down too. I dont think I will be a pro at inverts now with my arm, but I'm going to be hot with my feet one day. :-D I dont see how you do front/back stalls on those without a plate but I guess you are doing OK with that.
:
: : OK. Trying to teach an Old Dog new tricks here...& I'll take input from Side-Surfers too. Just think the Parallel perspective will be most likely to assist.
: : As some of you already know, I've been riding new SK8s since beginning of year. They're more like what most of you have been riding all along. Wider skateboard trucks, skateboard wheels etc. Here's a photo of one of my new SK8s next to one of the old ones:

: : So, now truck stalls/grinds are possible where as they weren't previously.
: : So, here's my problem: I can't make my feet only rotate 90 degrees for the Stalls. I keep over-rotating & going the 180 degrees I'm used to for my BS plate slides/stalls.
: : I've been trying to cheat it by skipping the stalls (which just aren't happening...:(...)& going directly to grinds. Why walk when you can run, right?? But after making a couple itty bitty ones on a 4 foot 1/4 pipe last weekend, now even those are continuing the arc I'm carving & going into the plate position with my toes over the coping.
: : It's driving me Batty. I need Help. Are there any tips or ideas??? Anything at all??
: : I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want to have those tricks in my meager bag o' tricks. That's why I got new set-up. I WANT REAL GRINDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
: : So, anything, anybody can tell me will be greatly appreciated....
: : Thanks in advance.. You're My People. I know somebody's got that little piece of info that'll make it h appen for me........
: : PEACE & LOVE from a frustrated paraleller in Sin City.........
