frontstance falling forward
I don't really know how to fall myself. I don't fall very often, but when I do, I always fall backwards on my hip, elbow, and head.

: OK, guess I need to practice leaning back all the time when I hit my knees as sometimes when I lean forward the force is still going forward. OK, practice I guess lol and I think I forgot to bend my knees enough then lol. Its been almost a year since I rode ramps so I have to remember some basics again as lame as this sounds. The rink riding is very different then ramp riding and body position is different.

: Thanks so much Jay!

: : : Sorry if this is another lame question, but coming down a ramp, if I fall forward, is it best to land on elbows first like I did or should I try to twist to roll over my shoulder like the unicyclists do? Or is that only good on flat ground?

: : Hey Claudine! As to falling, I HIGHLY recommend going to your knees 1st, then, if necessary, your elbows/wrists. I TRY to knee slide outta EVERYTHING that I can't roll away from.I wou;d not counsel any twisting when falling though.

: : : One more question. I'm not digging the short glove. Think taking the rigid rear support would make the hired hands OK? I'm not going to land on them really, but otherwise if I touch the ground, my skin scraps off easily off my knuckles. Seems like that would prevent extreme hyperextension w/out the rigid guard pushing on the bones. I feel like a dork now getting the PD if they wont work well on the ramps. I guess they are good for street or no?

: : I really don't know anything about your gloves. Sorry.

: : Keep Rollin'...............PEACE....Jay
