: It would also be helpful for those of us who cannot recognize all the skaters featured in the video. Biff I know anywhere. Everyone else I am just guessing at their identity.

OK, I try guessing. In order of appearance:

  1. Desi Jones
  2. Robert Chase
  3. Duke Rennie
  4. Lee Ettinger
  5. Biff Riley

Now shoot me if I got more than half of them wrong. ;-)

No description necessary. The skating speaks for itself.

Absolutely terrific video! I love it! Great edit, too.

Well, one comment to this one. It may be true for human viewers, but not for search engines. A search engine can't view the video and recognize all the great roller skaters in it. Therefore, if you want this to be findable via a search engine, you have to do a description for the dumb search engine.

I believe you are correct!! I havent ever seen a single vert skater in real life but I've watched about all the videos. So I could be wrong......

Its an incredible video Robert! Thanks for sharing it with us.

You might be right about #2 but Robert skates frontstance. So if he isnt #2 which is probably right since Robert skates 265s and thats the same helmet that Ben wore, then he isnt skating in this video. I am not certain because of the distance who the 2nd skater is.

The 2nd skater is Me. And if you watch last clip of me about 1:12 before Duke, I SLAM my face on concrete Hard! Not cool. Still swollen & can't chew on that side of my mouth. Recreational Hazard!

Hey, I almost got everyone right! Sorry that, of all things, I got you wrong. I hope you won't remove the Sk8Mag.de sticker from your helmet because of this!

Ok, after the improvement thread I have realized a better way to navigate this forum. I always use the tree, but just learned it is better to click on each individual response. I was not in that video. I was the Producer, Director, Writer, Edititor, and Cameraman. lol I was feeling really sick before those guys showed up, but after a while I felt so much better. I truly believe that those awesome skaters will inspire me to step it up. I left the skatepark at 9 pm and did not get home till midnight. Pretty long day, but well worth it.

I wish that viewing the tree would mark all the posts in the tree as read. Then, reading the tree would be easier.

It's only 50% with the corrections that I suggested. The only one I got right was Jay, and I had to go back and watch other videos in order to get him right. His stature is unique, and the skates finally gave him away. Desi, his beard was visible, Biff I know you anywhere since I have seen your antics in person, and the other 2 I just best guessed according to who was supposed to be there that night.

My new skates are working extremely well for me. I have visited 2 parks for the first time with them and have found the stability to be exceptional. I had my first mini ramp experience on Friday... it's amazing how much speed you carry to the other side of the ramp after a drop in! It took me a number of tries to keep from rolling out the other side with too much excess speed. I Still need to work on stalls though... things are looking up for me.

Fantastic! We'll need to get together soon. I'd like to check out some spots in San Antonio, if there are any that you'd recommend.

Anytime that you want to drive down here to check out a park, just let me know and I will do my best to meet up with you. Don't forget to bring Raven along... he's a great skater and exceptional cameraman.

The city has 2 concrete skateparks now, the second one just opened up a few weeks ago. You can check out the picks on SanAntonioSkateParkAssociation.com Pics Here

There are also 8 other city skateparks that are basic slab/portable ramp configuration, non of which I have visited (all of them are farther from my house than the concrete parks). The city has plans for 3 or 4 additional parks within the next year or 2. Also, Boerne is about 20 minutes NW from downtown and will have a park probably this fall. Lockhart will be opening up in less than a month, and San Marcos will begin phase II bowl construction as soon as Leander is completed. Things are looking really good for the skate scene in the Austin/San Antonio region!
