Virtual Vert Sessions Continue.....Video
Hi Jay,

I still haven't watched your video. I have been busy yesterday with getting the forum working again and sound does not work currently on my office machine from which I am writing this.

I enjoyed reading that over the big pond some roller skaters are skating with their families. I really believe that is something great. When you speak with Duke again, relate him my best wishes for hist birthday. Hey, he is even older than me!

: There's something cool about knowing your Homie(s) are out there...somewhere....skating with you. Hard to explain, but I'm diggin it. You might too.

I do, brother, I do. Beats the feeling that you are the last of your kind. ;-)

Hello Quad Kids.
How's Everything going in your little parts of the World? I hope that you all are well & your skating is feeling good. :)
I spoke with my Dad, Ben, earlier & we were both Down for a Virtual Vert Session tonight. I even spoke with Brother Duke on my drive to Area 702 & he was saying that hearing Ben & I were skating was motivating him out the Door to Santa Monica with his boy, Chris. I don't, however, have any Rennie footage. Sorry. BTW: Duke celebrated a B-Day last Saturday if anyone wants to put it on their Calendar.
Well, after talking to my Dad (who's Session was already over) & Duke (who was behind me, but Stoked) I was REALLY feeling this V.V. Sesh for some reason.
I'm hoping that more of you guys start feeling a part of these V.V. seshs & posting some of your stuff from average sessions.
There's something cool about knowing your Homie(s) are out there...somewhere....skating with you. Hard to explain, but I'm diggin it. You might too.
On a slight tangent: just FYI I don't film ALL the time I'm skating, though my better 1/2 would probably dispute that! LOL! I just try to capture an impression of my sesh for these posts. Not sure if I succeed or not.
Anyway, I wanna say one more thing before the good stuff: I LOVE the Forum & getting to share stories, pics & vids, ideas with all of you REALLY Genuine & Cool People, I really do. But it has been Crazy Cool having this thing with my Dad again after being his being out of it for so long. I REALLY hope my boy Ryder wants to SK8 & enjoys it when he's a bit older. Board, Blade, Bike SK8s, anything would be great to be able to share this thing I love with my boy. Like Biff with Raven. Like Duke with Chris. I guess, for Ben, like him & me.
Alright it's Late. I gotta Sleep then work. But I had to share this asap.

Hope you guys liked it. It was Fun to sk8/produce! LOL!

Keep Rollin' on all 8!
PEACE...............................Jay

Wow, that was very interesting. The music gave it an old movie kind of feel. If you had hysterical piano music playing it would have been more like an old silent movie that was colorized. I especially like the way the music became more intense just as the JayTV image came on during the opening scene.

Every time I watch one of your videos it gets me thinking about the big vert ramp up at the park in TSR which is about 30 miles north of my house. The only problem is for weekdays the park is unsupervised and therefor they require that you not skate alone.

I have never skated a full size vert ramp and might actually chicken out once I get there. That view from over the top of the coping must be really intense.

As soon as it stops raining around here, I'll put something together for you, Jay. Damn rain!

When you film while skating, it would help if you could use a fisheye lens. It will better show off where you are going. The idea is neat, but it is a little dizzying to just see a blur of the ground beneath your feet.

Otherwise, I enjoyed your production! Kudos!

Well, back in Woodward in 2004 we posed for a group photo on which we aligned according to age. And Duke ended up on the older side of me ...

Lee Ettinger posted his shot here. Sadly, my own group shot is double exposed since I used one of my films twice. :-(

Thanks, I saved it to my skate photos. Who are all the people in it? I definitely know half of them, but a few are unknown to me. I'm guessing you are the guy just to the left of Duke, Bernhard.
