Vert Rollerskating T-shirts
I think it is a great idea. I would suggest shopping around though, to see if there are other companies offering a better product and/or price.

 Hi all,

My buddy just told me he is making some shirts for sale and selling them on Zazzle.com. Basically, you open a store for free and upload your design and they will make and send out the shirts. I just sent Duke an e-mail with the hopes he will do some Dying Breed shirts. If any of you have a great image or cool text and want to make a shirt we would all wear, you can go to this site and make it and we can order it. There is no out of pocket expenses at all as far as I can tell. Claudine, you could make a cool shirt with the Irene artwork and actually make a little money, if we buy the shirt. I would buy one. Let me know your thoughts? Maybe as a group we can come up with something that we would all feel good about wearing and buying. Obviously, the company makes most of the money, but we can make any shirt we want with out incurring any costs. How about making a shirt that we all buy and the profits could go toward this site to help Bernhard pay for the expenses? I am open to all ideas and just passing on the information.

I have some images but they need editing and text. I would not be able to even afford to buy one of my own t-shirts now though and things are highly stressed for me til January. I need to start doing artwork though. I need to do my vert card too but I am just now getting back into things and wont be doing bowls probably til March. I went unicycling today though!

I know there are several sites that do this type of thing and only recommended Zazzle because my friend is using them for his shirts. I think the more important thing is to come up with some good designs, logos, text to put on the shirts. They don't even have to be the same, but I just thought it would be cool if we could get some type of shirt. I am not artistic so I can't develop any artwork, but I will think about text. I thought it would be funny to have a picture of rollerblades then a not equal sign and then a picture of rollerskates. On the back it could say: " I am not a fruitbooter". That would be funny, but I don't think I would put that on mine. lol

I think some type of collective effort with proceeds going to Bernard is a terrific idea. Speaking for myself - hell, speaking for Jay too since I know he's on the road home from Tucson and can't dipute it - we will buy! I use the forum more than any other site and would have no problem helping Bernard in any way possible.

Look for great footage from 3 parks we hit this weekend (Rita Ranch, Santa Rita and Ott YMCA) soon on JayTV. Well, maybe some spectacular Jay stuff and some injury free stuff from me, we had a blast and Jay had an astonished and appreciative audience wherever we skated.

 Hey Ben,

I am very much flattered that you use this site so much! This is the biggest reward I could get for keeping this site going. Financially it's not much. I pay 8 Euro/month to my hoster which is for web space for the roller skate site, Sk8Mag.de and w-y-h.org as well as for my e-mail. The e-mail is the main reason why I got myself a second-level domain. Before that I had the third-level domain popeye.freinet.de and Freinet pulled out of providing services to private customers. I never wanted to loose my e-mail address again and therefore I registered adinfinitum.de. The web space was only a by product. Being a Swabian (the German equivalent of the Scots) I had to make some use of it since I paid for it. And the only thing I could think of to tell the world was how to build a vertical roller skate. Then Brian came along and encouraged me to start the forum. Well, I thought there would be no demand for such a thing, but boy, was I wrong! I'm glad that I was wrong and that you people make this such a cozy place by dropping by. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And witnessing you getting into skating again after such a long time ... Wow!

You Da Man Bernard......You Da Man. Thanks for all you do to promote the craft (wouldn't be accurate to just call what we do a sport) and thanks for helping keep alive what so many of loved but thought was gone. Who had a clue there were so many of us. The pic, if I did it right , is Jay working a keyhole oval pool at Santa Rita Skatepark in Tucson just yesterday. Long live the Forum.
