Yes, we can!

Is it OK this way?

Joe, I think we should add a page about you to the 'People' section. There are so many rad pics of you! What do you think?

As much as I think your tricks are totally rad, I'm the most stoked about the "Border Town" pic. It captures a certain essence. Love it and all your photos!!!!

Ah, shucks, Joe, I thought I would be payed for providing the honor. I think everyone of those illustrious regulars to the forum should be in there but as always it comes with a bit of work. And you already provided such a lot of rad pics. We just have to come up with some text about you. Would an email interview be OK?

I have not seen Jimmy. I was really sick when he was out this way and now he is in Los Angeles. It sounds like he is hitting a lot of cool stuff. I did send him an e-mail and hope to skate with him before he leaves.

Ha! I just realized, after my post to Paul, that your trick here is a Japan Air...since your leg is not sticking out straight.

Japan Air
A grab in which you reach behind you to grab the opposite leg and the non-grabbed leg is bent.

I recon it's a stale air now I think about it.

It isn't a stale air because you are not grabbing the wheels. You are grabbing your foot. It is a Japan air because you are grabbing the right foot (part of your leg) with your left hand, and the other leg is bent.

Unless there is a more specific term for a "foot" grab rather than a wheel grab.

Japan Air
A grab in which you reach behind you to grab the opposite leg and the non-grabbed leg is bent.

Stale
Used to describe any grab where you grab the wheels of the skate.

I've always taken definition from skateboarding as(after they ripped off airs, handplants and pool skateing in general from Kenny Means)they invented most of the moves we all do now,,generaly speaking. With that in mind, a stale air is frontside air with your trailing arm grabbing the backside rail and a Japan air is basicly a mute or a backside air with your front hand grabing your frontside rail and tweaking your nose up your back.

B Wainwright Japan(natrual going backside)

J Memba stale(goofy going frontside)

A.MacJapan air

Billy Harrison.Stale air.

My previous comments (down below) were based on definitions I found on the internet. That being said, my son Raven is a walking 'skate dictionary'. So, I asked him about whether wheel grabbing determines "stale". He told me that grabbing any under part of the frame (plate) or wheels makes it stale. So the trick is a "Stale Japan Air".

He also said that grabbing the leg, or top of your skate boot, makes it a regular grab or a regular "Japan Air"'. I stand corrected, and humbled, by my sons' insane skate knowledge.

: It isn't a stale air because you are not grabbing the wheels. You are grabbing your foot.

Hosoi one foot backside air.I think you've nailed it Irene.Nice too see you on here,,been a while, hows it hanging?
Hey Biff,I recon opinion is one of the last freedoms we still have and I value yours and Ravens.I'm gald he's passionate about his skating and has a good understanding of the definition.I just lean in favour of skateboard definition as I have always skateboarded and rolled with boarders.

cheersjoe
