Hi Kids.
Well, as some of you know I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new snowskates (skiboards) all week last week. They arrived this Monday. Bill & I were on the hill on Tuesday (it's SO nice to have skiing an hour outta town, makes 1/2 days possible!)

Well, let me tell you, Kids, I LOVE these new Snowsk8s! They rule! Inside 20 minutes on these, w/o poles, I was WAY more comfortable than I'd ever been on long skis! It seems backwards, but the control is so much more similar to sk8s on these short skis that it was familiar to me.

Anyway, here's the film.

I'd love to hear what everyone's thoughts are. Especially those of you with snowski experience. Thanks for watching, Everybody.

PEACE.............

I have always wanted to snow ski.
What did that cost? Skis? Lift ticket?
Cost to use slopes? Other costs?

Hmmmmm ok. Lift tix @ LVSSR (Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort) are $50 For one day.
My new skiboards (snowsk8s) were about $110. But you need reg skiboots too. I got mine used off Craig's list for $50. You need snow pants & jacket, goggles, gloves etc & that can get pricey too, but still worth it.
Did I answer all your questions? Hope so.

Does the lift ticket cost cover the use of the mountain as well?

Hey. Yes, that's all for hill. Unless you gotta rent skis. That's $35 extra.

  Hey Biff,
1 more thing:
LVSSR is actually pretty expensive for lift tix.
By comparison, BrianHead Utah (approx 3+ hours from Vegas) has 8 lifts (LVSSR has only 3) & costs only $25. You're paying for the convenience of not driving 7 hours round trip to go ski, that's all.
OK, just didn't want you to think you had to be a Kennedy to ski. :)

But for me, I have to drive much farther than
you for either. Heh heh. I guess I do need to
be a Kennedy ton ski. LOL!!

But, thanks! I guess, since I'd be coming all that way, it would be better for me to get the $25 lift tickets. You should add a ski day to your Rollercon vert week. It'd be a nice diversion and you might even be able to get a group discount lift ticket!!
