Claudine, I think you'll need heavier dumbbells than that in order to strengthen your arms!! :D

Keep at it. Miracles don't always happen overnight. Just like some people are lucky because they work for it. I know you'll make it you tenacious little vixen!!

Maybe it\'s that I\'m the one who doesn\'t read between the lines or see your sarcasm, Biff, but I think they\'re not meant as dumbells, but more as bars to do the handstands on.

Anyways, good idea, Claudine! Will you also place a mattress behind them so you can push yourself to the limits safely?

Those bars would collapse immediately where I to try handstands on them. But that's not a fault of your bars ...

No, I cannot lift myself up to a handstand yet but I can hold the crows pose now for 30 secs sometimes which is good for me! But handstands are more so core and forearms then arms/shoulders so I think dumbbells wont help so much. I have a hallway to lean against for now. I just want a solid handstand one day on the coping, not a flailing cartwheel where I look like a frog. lol! After breaking my arm, thats been an obsession! :-D In 6 months I'll be posting videos, you heard me!!

Those are cool. I think I would be a little scared to do a handstand on those mostely because my arms are so weak. Have you also tried doing a head stand against a wall and then pushing into a handstand? That is something I need to try.

You could wrap a bit of padding and tape around the bars, give you a bit of grip and protect from the chance of getting splinters in your hands if the wood gets a split.

Good luck on the practicing!!

They look like a good base to build a small grind box too :D

Hahahaha. Yeah, it was sarcasm. I was just being silly. On a side note, I think pull ups and push ups would also be good arm exercises. Even something simple, like a bar hang.

Nope, neither nor. Didn't work. Now I'm eating all sorts of delicious stuff that't good for me. Seems to work better than anything else.

I fear that won't be the case. You should eat according to your metabolism, this will help overweight people losing weight and underweight people gaining weight.
