I went skating the other night and took a 6-7 foot fall. I didn't notice right away, but slowly, my knee started hurting more and more. It feels like it did before my surgery to re-attach the partial tear of my quad tendon. I think I might have torn it again.

:(

Crap.

 That's awful.

I hope very much that you did not tear your tendon. Go see a doctor immediately. He will be able to tell you what's up. An early diagnosis also makes it more likely that it can be healed without surgery, even if it's a (partial) tear. But let's hope that it's not torn at all. It's not good to go through this.

Thanks, Bernhard. I'm going to wait a couple of days because before seeing a doctor. The reason is because it isn't quite as bad as the first time that I tore it. So I'm hoping that I perhaps just aggravated the scar tissue from the first surgery. I'll know for sure if I have certain movement problems. Last time, sideways pressure sent me into agony.

Good news is that it is feeling better more quickly. Bad news is that if it is a tear, it is not favorable to have to re-operate on a previous tear.

Good news. I went skating tonight and I felt fine. No issues from my knee. It is still a little tight, but I suspect that my had not been torn again. My previous skate session must have inflamed it and just caused some swelling of the old scar tissue, from my previous quad tendon surgery.

Also, I saw Wild Bill today and I got a whole new set of pads. They are sweet. I'll post a pic of them soon.

Glad to hear that your tendon seems not to be torn and I hope that it isn't for even a tiny part, which still could be the case. So please take care for a while and allow it to heal! Don't put any stress on it for a while which could worsen it! You are lucky that you probably won't need a surgery.
