: Hellooooo, i'm in lyon now. we have had a two hard skate days with nelo and ufra here. The weather hasn't been very good but the ramps does.
: Vicen and I have visited Montpellier (nice outdoor 3,2m) but we couldn't skate it because of the wind. In Cap d'couverte (60km from toulouse) another covered vert, lot of wind and the copping difficoult to fly and easy to grinds and slides.

Always windy in Montpellier. I was there once (long time ago) and it was cold and windy. ;-)

: Bernhard how's the weather around your town?

Mostly dry today. In the sun, it's even warm. Otherwise, it's pretty cold.

: you know if basel skatepark has showers?

Can't say for sure. I tried to reach someone who would have know. Alas, without success. Anyway, you can come to my place here in Freiburg which is only 60 km from Basel.

: Hope to be able to post pics when i get back to my house.

I'm looking forward to your pics and hope to take some pics of you myself!

I think we can meet. I'm still not in shape for work but I could come to Basel and/or to the Green Ramp in Karlsruhe. Why not stop in Freiburg? It ist between the two and has a big ramp! Give me a call at +49 761 288124 or on my mobile +49 171 7552059.

Sorry to hear that your knee has been hurt so bad that it took two years to recover. I think my knee will be in shape much faster.

Freiburg? ok. Maybe 1 day in each city. I'll call you as soon as i know when will we be there. I think that 5th of june would be possible to be in basel, 6th in freiburg and 7th in karlsruhe.
we have ruled out paris, this city deserves a trip only for it.
Hope to see you soon. pic of madrid's bowl.

 Hi Bombe!!
Don't forget Montpellier and its Grammont skatepark in your trip (nice 4m vert).
I don't know about vert in Toulouse, but close to (60km NE) you have a cool skate park close to Albi (http://www.hypnozpark.com/Accueil.html). There is a nice vert with a roof here, and a huge bowl area outside (and a camping or hotel).
By 3-4 june I may be in Paris, but not for sure yet, hope we can arrange a session in Massy (2.3m ramp in Paris suburbs) as the Paris 4m ramps are still unavailable (Damned!!!!!). Feel free to contact me by e-mail

Hello, I accidentally came across this site and have been reading the forums. Do you know Toto Ghali? I skated with him in Marsaille France about ten years ago. He was a very good skater and a friend. Time sure does fly. I thought that park at Marsaille was awesome. The bowl was a bit small, but I still managed to do all of my flips. Here is a picture from Marsaille. I was on my inline skates. I am thinking about going back to the real deal and wearing my quads.

Hello, I never saw your reply and just came about it. I met Toto when I skated Marsaille in 1992. His knee was really messed up and he was mostely skateboarding, which he is very good at. I got a letter from him in 1993 and he told me how a ramp collapsed and a lot of people got hurt. Is he still skating? He was an amazing skater. He tried my inlines and ripped hard. I did see him on his quads and he was taking it easy with out pads and ripping hard. I know he told me he was going to have his own line of skates. This was a long time ago. I hope he is still around and doing ok. He was one of a few that spoke English so he had to translate for me. There were about 5 rollerskaters that were pretty good. Marsaille was definitely one of the best experiences of my life. I met some really cool rollerskaters in Spain. They were younger, but very good. One of the kids I met took me to a waterpark and then introduced me to his mom. He showed me a video of a Spanish skater that was the best I had ever seen. I don't remember his name, but he did every flip imaginable. I know that certain inline skaters are doing double back flips and trying triple backflips, but I never see them on tv anymore. It seems there are more tricks you can do on rollerskates. My new goal in life is to get all of my tricks back and then learn some more. I have always been good and all kinds of flips, but have never been good at airs. I don't get it, but I just can't get air. I would love to get my old tricks back and then learn how to air. I have only skated about a short amount of time with inline or quad vert skaters. I have never had the opportunity to learn new tricks. Do you know Martin Broice in Germany? I met him 14 years ago in my skate tour and he was an amazing skateboarder and very good rollerskater. He actually took me out to a club and it was fun, but I did not speak the language so it was a bit though.

: Hello, I never saw your reply and just came about it.

Did you discover the notification feature of this forum? I always use and therefor got notified about your replyy.

: I got a letter from him in 1993 and he told me how a ramp collapsed and a lot of people got hurt.

Has that been at the Münster Monster Mastership? Alas, I can't tell you much about Toto. I heard he was engaged as judge for the German Inline Mastership.

Marcos Longares?

: Do you know Martin Broice in Germany?

I also met Martin Broich several times long time ago. He is famous for inventing the Broich flip.
