Ouch! I can imagine the subways must be horrible. I ordered some crash pads online for my hips and am almost ready to hit the vert once I buy a new helmet and see if my knee pads still fit. I was skating on my street on got my first smart ass comment from some teenagers making fun of me. I just laughed.

: Keep it up ... you'll be flippin' on the ramps in no time!
: It's about 100 degrees F here in NYC. The tall buildings keep the heat in and the breezes out. Nasty, dirty and sticky .... save skating for a cooler day.

I skated today and was able to go for forty minutes. This was a pretty big accomplishment for me. I was skating really hard and I think I have my skills back on the street. I am definitely wanting to skate vert soon. I have a pretty nice park about 10 miles away and it is either $30 or $60 per year with no other charges. The only problem is that it has been 100 degrees out it is F'n hot!

That's pretty hot. At this temperature, water boils. In Europe we have that kind of temperature only in a sauna. Nevertheless, it's not exactly cool here, neither. Today it should be 36 degrees.

I just wanted to pull his leg. Didn't work, however.
