If you are looking for roller princes with hard wheels, you are in the right place. ;-)

Vertical roller skaters tend to have hard wheels from 95a upwards. I even had some 101a roller bones, but they were two small for me and so I gave them to a fellow skater.

claudine: I need wheels! (29. Jun. 2007 00:16)
I went to the skatepark today and got frustrated. Im not sure if its from the heat or just because now I'm pumping more, but my wheels felt really TACKY and slooooowww! Not just the transitions this time. I lost my balance sometimes from it since I tried to jump or spin on the ramps and it felt like I was glued. I watched the skateboarders, and yeah, they were sliding easily and I felt like I was skating on top of tape lol. So the 85a's arent working anymore.

I'm going to go with skateboard wheels for now, I guess the speed ones.

I was thinking 93a, but considering 95a now too. Any advise on wheel type? Should I do 40mm or try the zodiacs which are narrow, 34mm I believe? I was thinking radar tuners since they are wide and a decent price which might be a good idea to get used to and maybe later go for the narrow one?

I need help! My wheels are messing me up now. And I want to get good quickly cause a dumb skateboarder started arguing with me that these arent aggressive skates, they are for roller disco! I want to show him off!!!!!!!!!!!! mad, mad, mad, mad..........

Lisa told me if I take my TRUCKS from my dominion skates and put them on my probe plates, I can use skateboard wheels. Shes the BEST!!!!! So any hints? Powell bones? :-D I know Lisa carries spitfires but I was thinking 97a might be good for me.

Thanks for the info!

The pivot on the dominions I discovered was a slight different length so the cushions never sat flat. Then I found out that the only skateboard wheel that would fit them would be so narrow that they wheels wouldnt even extend to the boots width. I wouldnt like that feeling of instability on the ramps with regular trucks. So I decided on the zodiacs, 95a. Its in between the art and speed wheels as far as width goes. I thought the speed wheels might grip too much.

I talked to the bones rep., I found out that the quad roller bones wheels (not the elites, etc) are the same compound at their skateboard wheels. So if I go with the narrow ramp trucks which dont take skateboard wheels, and I want a little more slide, that would be about the same thing! So if this is true, seems like it wouldnt make that much difference having a roller skating wheel vs. skateboard wheel, just there are very few options.

I don't see the problem with that! If he does inverts in a kilt, that'd be a bonus.
