Following a suggestion of Robert, I did a small improvement to the message view of the forum. Now not only the answers to a post a show below it, but rather the complete discussion thread. In this way you don't have to use the "Back" function of the browser any more to navigate a discussion thread. Hopefully in this way it is easier to follow a discussion.

Furthermore there now is also an "All" view, to which you can get by following the "All" link in the message view. This view shows all contributions to a discussion thread in one page in chronological order. The structure of the discussion (which message is in reply to which other message) isn't show in this view, however.

Great job bro! This makes it easier for those of us with small brains. : )

Thank you all for you positive comments on the better usability. I have just noticed a small fault, however. On messages without replies, all messages in the forum are shown in the message view. I will correct this as soon as possible, earliest this evening when I return home. Bear with me.

I think you had been completely right in your original gripe and I now seem to have hit what you need. Thank yoou for bringing up this problem. I had thought about it in the past but had been too lazy to do it in the way it is now (which is not that much more complicated).

I really have to bow down to you! I've been working on and off for a couple days on this slider contract job. Got the images to work but not text. :-( I feel like the biggest idiot, I have no idea why. So I was honest with them saying I COULD start from scratch using new script, but I'm really entry level. A JavaScript expert could probably figure it out in 15 mins, me not sure. Its due Monday so I told them I don't feel like I can quarantee them anything at this time. And I only get paid for 5 hrs of work but GOOD pay, just if I spend 20 on it, lol, I lose. I wish I knew half as much as you do! Hopefully the other job will start soon or I will have to go back to secretary work.

Hey, what type of work do you do exactly? My brain doesnt function well for anything that earns a real income lol. I'm too honest to do sales though.

Sometimes it is annoying if you try to get something working and aren't experienced enough to know how exactly you have to go about it. One has to try out a lot and learn a lot. And Javascript can be tricky.

I also had some fix-price jobs in the past. You often loose with them. "Time and material" is better for the contractor.

Takes only about 25 years of programming experience. ;-)

: Hopefully the other job will start soon or I will have to go back to secretary work.

You will make it!

Really nice programming work though!
