I had to do some improvements to the forum software. The total running time for re-generation of the index grew too long (the hoster stops a program that runs longer than 30 secs). This now works quite nicely, but deletion of messages now has developed a bug. Well, I guess you can't have everything at once. :-(

I hope to have this working again soon, so I can delete Claudines superfluous duplicates.

Thats OK Bernhard! I understand. I cant figure out how to get my shopping cart to print the totals to 2 decimal places and that should be EASY! But then it shuts down since its a string. :-(

Well, the master index looks OK now again, but I have to investigate the deletion of entries a bit further on my test system. There still is a strange effect that causes the forum to look empty after deletion of one entry. Not nice.

If you like, you can mail me your "2 decimal places" problem. Maybe I can spot the problem.

That's a very big honor. I hope to live up to it someday. ;-)

Anyhow, I did a software update on my computer at home which changed a lot of stuff. I had to do a lot of cleaning up in my web stuff and at the same time the forum turns out to be too big now for the piece of code needed for deletion of entries. So I had to do something there.

Argh, I hoped that no one would see this. My heart stopped, too, but I knew that the content had still to be there somewhere ... ;-)

Not yet, not yet. But I can't say when I will have analyzed the problem. It's no problem for the forum users, however. Only for administration.

I think I fixed my problem! But I sent it to you to see if the cookies are carrying over right. I cant believe I fixed it lol! That part of my brain is pretty small lol.

Glad I missed the empty forum.... :-O

As one french minister said "I'm responsible, but not guilty", and you are none of both Bernhard!!!

However as RD initiated it by some strange duplicate posts, maybe this could be a way to prevent...... ;-)

Hehe ...

But I rather try to harden the software so that it also works in adverse circumstances. If I hadn't done so in the past, it wouldn't be possible to post anything at all anymore. A post would take longer than 30 seconds to be processed and the hoster doesn't allow scripts to run longer than 30 seconds. In some way I am responsbile and guilty by putting up this forum in the first place ...

I also found the programming error which caused this effect. After I could reproduce this effect consistently on my test system, my error soon dawned to me. So I hope it's smooth sailing again now. :-)

Oh Bernhard, you have done fantastic with this forum! I wish I knew half as much as you do. :-D But I got to illustrate lions, giraffes, zebras and elephants today. That was awesome!

So Zorg, when I'm stuck in the 12 footer, will you come drag me out? ;-D

of course with pleasure, problem is the delay....
I often have a 12ft rope in my bag to drag it up/down the 12ft ramp, or , hem..., climb the door if it's locked.
It's useful too when I skate alone: I let my bag at the top of the ramp with the rope attached to it, so I can access my bag (and my phone) if I crash so hard its impossible to pump up the ramp.... (no ladders/stairs in France)
Why putting up bag?? often it's the safest place from non skating people turning around, when I bring some expensive stuff (camera, wheels,..)

cheers

on the pict, you can see that the rope is attached to me and the bag... (I admit Swann took the picture ;-))
For the ramp itself (12ft), I go up with the rope only, attach it on the plateform, go down, attach my bag, go up and trim...cause I can't reach the plateform on foot with my 15kg bag and I prefer to avoid pumping with a 9kg bag containing cameras.
So for bowls, you have a truck ready for you!!?

Have fun!!!

Snowboarding is a dangerous activity. I tore my quadriceps tendon almost exactly two years ago when I was trying to learn it.

It's less dangerous for kids. They are still more flexible and also more light-weight.

I dont weigh that much at all but my tendon on the side of my knee still hurts from Oct? and that was just from overuse. I think things tighten up as you get older! Most all my injuries are sprains. :-( I'm going to try to learn some skateboarding this summer. One of my boarder friends is going to teach me. :-D But its too expensive for me now anyways.
