I'd suggest that if they do not cover the stimulator, work out a payment plan with the doctor and still get it done. I don't know if you could get it, but when I went in for my knee, I applied for "CareCredit". It is a credit card that is solely meant for medical expenses. There is no interest at all if you can pay it back within a year. After that, it will start accruing interest. It is also good for dentists and for vets.

 No, nothing to do with payments. Its confusing but I'm going to speak to a lawyer about this. I hope to get the surgery after next week. I'm praying they can fit me in before they cancel me. I will not be able to get the surgery for my elbow contracture now as that takes 3 months of PT after that so must live with my movement limitations. I am earning pennies now so I cant afford a $5k surgery as I am earning barely over min. wage right now. I will try to get a job with medical this summer. I love my job but not sure if they will give me medical, one with no pre-existing conditions. I dont like our country. Obama, do your job!!

I've never heard of CareCredit. Is this avail nationwide?

I just want the stimulator out. But what sucks is I cant do bowls without medical. My arm is now 98% healed, yet I have to roll on eggshells soon still. So if anyone in the US knows of PT jobs that give medical, no pre-exist crap, let me know asap!!!!!

 CareCredit is a credit card that is for medical necessities. It has no interest, providing you pay it all off within 1 year. After that, the interest is pretty steep. I think it is around 22% to 25%. So, you definitely want to pay it off in that time. Otherwise, I'd transfer the balance to another card that has a lower rate.

I had never heard of this card either, until my Ortho suggested it. They did the application process right there in the clinic, and I was approved within about 5 minutes. I'm pretty sure it is nationwide, as long as your care providers accept it.

Thanks.... I think if I lose it, besides refuting it, I am doing an incredible job at the bike/outdoor sports store. So maybe get medical there. Whatever it takes this summer, need to play and play with security!
