That's awesome. Please take notes and pics so that I might copy what you do.

NICE! I also have some HMWP.I just got a 5 foot piece of 2" x 3/4" that I'm going to put a set of sliders together from. I'll keep my killer metal elec box sliders, but I want to have a set of HMWP plates that I can use at will. They seem pretty damn 'slidey'! Will keep you posted.... Gonna drag preggo to park again today to film me on my metal plates.....
How are you going to mount your HWMP?? I'm thinking of making 2 bars/strips that'll screw into existing holes I've put in my speed plate......we'll see....
PEACE........Jay

I'm thinking of two different ways. I might make side supports out of the UHMW itself (hollow underneath). Or...I'm thinking of making a solid block, with a wood core. The UHMW would be attached to the sides and top(bottom?) of the wood.

The wood core would allow me to attach all the UHMW to it, and then all I'd need to do is attach the wood core to the plate. It might be a heavier, but it would make it extremely solid and much more user friendly.

Cheers,
Biff!

I'll make sure you get to see the finished skates as soon as they are done.

Thanks!

: Yea right on Biff,,I found it better to hand cut fairly slowly as a power saw at speed tends to weld the shit back together as you cut,,kind of.
