Hi

I googled around a bit, here's what I found:

This page mentions an interview with Tim Altic; does anyone have this issue of "Skateboard!"?
They also feature a pic of Tim in the over vert Orange half pipe.

Here are some nice comments about the skate parks he builds.

Then I found pics and "fly through" flicks of the Great Falls skate park. It looks really great. Tim, did you participate in the design of that park?

Then I found a list of "Vertical Roller Skaters" with links.

Tobi

Thanksfor sharing your findings on the web!

Some crazy stuff. Those were the times! Pity that they don't have a scan of the interview.

Great park. It's not been build or has is?

Those have been taken from my Green Ramp Jam 1991 report. ;-)

Thanks for digging around Tobi, there is some interesting stuff in there. The great falls park looks like a whole lot of fun. I think some more completly flat area would be a good thing for total beginers. Have fun everyone, keep on rolling. Brian

: Hi Tobi, yes I designed the Great Falls park. I let grindline make what ever they wanted in between the 2 bowls, and they chose to make the over vert pocket and the funnel. I like the over vert pocket but the funnel cuts a hole in the side of the pool that you would use to set up for the pocket. I think the funnel is a waiste of concrete but you never know. In the future maybe everyone will be doing the pipe.
I have found that after you build a park there are a few things you think could be better but that is natural and somehow I have to figure a way to be able to go back and work on it a little. But I didn't get paid for 3 weeks of overtime as it was. Thanks, I skated it and love it. 80 kids stood around the pool while I did an impromtue demo and they said I went as high as the pros. I am most proud that there were 80 kids at the park. Montana is not a huge population center.

 * Bernhard, I have a copy of that interview and some other stuff, I was in every issue of skateboard for a year, so I'll scan the rest of the stuff and put it on if other people want to see it. I never thought anyone cared but me. I have started sharing what I have by sending Kenny Means (the first rad rollerskater) a copy of Air Attack so that he could see what he inspired others to do. I would like to see some stuff of Duke and Fred, and Jimmy Scott and the lot of you from other countries. I'm sure that the web site can only hold so much, but it would be nice to document the whole sport as it was. What ever? I will see if others would like to share. I am interested in everyones experience, because that is how the sport developes.
