Skorpion skates
Thanks for the warm welcome and the clear responses. I should've known it was a bad idea.
Guess I'll have to be tinkering then.
A skate/surfshop in my city's having closing sales, so I'll have a look if I can catch myself some parts.

Yup, these are aggressive skates. Because of the system of attaching your shoe into it instead of having your foot float around in a one-size-fits-none boot it gives you a very controlled and responsive ride. At least, it's what I've learnt from the switch from USDs.
