| Robert, I hope your elbow get better very fast. It looks pretty bad on the picture. Be patient and pay attention to your physiotherapist. It's not nice to hear that you are still in pain but that will probably get better soon.
The financial impact of such an accident is probably worse in the US than in Europe. There are also regional differences but my treatment costs have been paid by an accident insurance (which is obligatory when you are working in Switzerland) and they also paid 80 % of my salary during the time I couldn't go to work. Therefore, there still is a financial impact but it isn't so bad.
