Putting on plates?
I must be the least artistic person in this world. I can't imagine trying to put together my own skates. If I were you, I would ask Roller Dave. He seems to know this stuff. I am all about buying skates and using them. I have no fix it bones in my body. Eventually, I would like to bold a medal plate to my skates and attach skateboard trucks. I really don't get the rollerskate set up, but then again, I just ride and can't make or fix shit.

: I got my skates back from Riedell, heel is SNUG now!! I have my plates and ready to drill.
: Do I need to fill in the holes, with what? How should I steady the boot to drill in straight? Would a vice grip be OK, how can I make sure I am drilling in straight? If I use wood dowels and put it on the sides of the boot, is that the best way to find widest part of forefoot to find center? Last minutes hints? Friday is DRILL day!! I cant wait any longer lol. I'm too happy, must skate soon!!
