New Skates-- Photos
its a shame lisa is no longer into vert as she was the first vert rollerskater i talked too and looked up to for guidance starting. :`( i thought she was making new vert skates but none on her site. i will talk to her sometime as i still value her opinion since she knows what vert requires moreso then the other rollerskate equip sites. I hope she tries out the 965s reidell boots. my 265s hurt my feet after awhile since they dont fit right. i seem to have abnormally narrow heels but a square toebox and those would fit me good I think. plus they are stiff which i assume would be good? I know she gets to test boots for free. it will be another year im sure before i can afford boots but that gives me time for the derby girls to test the durability for me lol. i wish the carerras fit my feet as those are so cheap! otherwise i would have to afford a lot of cash for custom fitting. not working yet lol.

: : Nice Jay. Did you get those from Rollergirl? What are you going to do with the plate? Any jump bars or grind plates?
:
: Hey Robert,
: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!
: No, unfortunately RollerGirl no longer offers ramp skates on her site. :(. She seems to be entirely focused on Derby these days. We couldn't even get her to hit a park with us @ 08 RC SK8 Park Tour.
: I got them through skates.com. Check out my post from yesterday "Lee's Visit Pics & Vids" or words to that effect. I put link in to page with my skates on it through skates.com.
: The picture they have has a Jump-Bar & they have toe plugs. What came did NOT have Jump-Bar & had Toe-Stops. I was actually glad though cuz I know I wou;d've had to taken off Jump-Bar & I HATE Toe-Plugs, so it worked out. I did up-grade to bigger wheels & ABEC-9 bearings, but other than that they're Stock. I was getting plate slides my 1st session on 'em, so I'm pretty Happy with them.
: Hope you have an AWESOME Birthday, Bro.
: PEACE,
: Jay

: : : nice hairdo lol. ;-D

: : : cool sk8s! i bet ur stoked. I loooooooved the wide trucks when i got mine. I started out with the narrow ramp trucks. it was so much more stable. i clipped my heels a few times but not too hard to adjust. i put the softest bushings in there and they were great!!!! what was REALLY great was the sk8board wheels. they were heaven. have fun!!!!!!

: : : 11 more days til I can ride a bike. :-D

: : : : HAPPY NEW YEAR, Everybody!!!
: : : : Hope everyone had a Fun AND Safe New Year's Eve. Lee & I were VERY fortunate to have my Amazing wife, Dawnie, be our Designated Driver last night so we could indulge. Pretty cool of her as she's pregnant & it was pretty cold last night.
: : : : Anyway I thought you guys (& girls) might want to see my new SK8s. It's a TOTALLY new Set-Up for me as I've always skated stock rollerskates that I just slightly modified.
: : : : These new SK8s are also STOCK, but intended for Vertical Skating.....And THEY WORK!! Check it out:
