The present
I thought he was upset over missed opportunities? If not, I guess I missunderstood lol.

But I find it sad how few roller skaters there are too. I have noone that I have ever seen do a trick ever or pump the halfpipe in person to learn from so I'm working out of a vaccuum here. All I have is u-tube. Then I start to think others might start but they dont? I keep hoping Majja might post again but I doubt it. How sad.......

I also wish I didnt have to have so much money to travel across the entire US just to see a few rollerskaters. I'm not sure I will be able to save that much or be able to take time off by this summer. I hope so. But I dont know many other skaters where maybe I could camp out on the floor to save money lol.

I'm going to speed practice today. There isnt one roller skater there either. Speed used to be roller skating. I dont seem to find any place I can fit in cause I am too small for derby, so I always skate alone. I just try not to think about it. But at least this forum makes me feel like I belong someplace.

: Claudine, I agree with you absolutely. But I also can understand Robert's blues. I you have lived a time when there were lots of people to skate with and when you arrive in a present where there are (almost) none, then this is a sad state of affairs.
:
: Aside from that, I would say the same to Robert: In 1999, I thought there was no other roller skater beside me. Now look at all the people you can meet in the web! And all the stuff they share with you: experience, building plans, photos videos, memories, ...
:
: Maybe the times are better than ever?
